ISM [suffix]: “The act, state or theory of”

LatISM [noun]: “The act, state, or theory of being Latinos in the 'system' of social media”

LatISM DC is a Latinos in Social Media community building event in DC. It will bring together organizations focused on reaching Latinos and the seasoned social media veterans that can help them. From Blogs, My Space, Twitter, YouTube to Facebook, hear about whats worked or not worked so far in the Latino community.

 

Together, we will discuss how we can better partner to reach Latinos to empower our community.

Dates: December 11 & 12

 

Location: At the Offices of the National Council of La Raza

 

Hosts: Kety Esquivel, Elianne Ramos, Alma Suarez, Jennifer Lubrani, Sylvia Aguilera and Julie Diaz-Asper

 

Conference Tracks:

Brand Building - Build brand awareness and affinity among Latinos

Social Good - Reach Latinos to improve opportunities and quality of life

The Mobile Opportunity - Use mobile to reach more Latinos

Gov 2.0 - Empower and inform Latinos through the gov't, work of grassroots and CBOs

101 Social Media - Learn the basics

Opening Session & Reception Friday, 12/11 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

All Day Conference Sessions – Saturday, 12/12 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
